Nawell Madani the “broken heart”: she presents her nephew Dalil suffering from Down syndrome and dots the “i”s

Artus made his first film a hit! A little something extra featuring actors with Down syndrome was widely praised. The whole team even had the chance to climb the steps of the Film Festival last spring. The feature film has exceeded the milestone of 10 million entries only three and a half months after its release! It must be said that, if the subject is painful, it is just as necessary. People with Down syndrome being, unfortunately, too often mocked. Nawell Madani knows something about it so well that, this November 25, the 45-year-old actress opened up like rarely on Instagram.

This published a photo series of are nephew named Dalil who is suffering from Down syndrome. Alongside these photos full of tenderness, the young Belgian revealed a long, moving message. “I always had a special bond with my sister Nabila. My big sister, my role model (except when she pulled my hair because I stole her Chipie or Chevignon jackets!)” began by declaring Djebril Zonga's companion.

Then, the comedian added: “Nabila is the mother of three princesses and of a little prince: Dalil, our ray of sunshine. At his birth, when my sister learned she had Down syndrome, everything changed. She fell into a big depressionand we, we were lost. But little by little, she got up, she fought for her son. Today she is a lioness, and Dalil, a budding DJ“. A declaration of love from Nawell which does not stop there revealing that his sister had to stop working when her son was born before becoming her sister's make-up artist. As for Dalil, he , “it's the mascot of all my shoots. This kid is pure love, and what's more, he's as stylish as ever!” she confided.

Nawell Madani: why did she want to raise this subject now?

If the mother of a little girl wanted to tell this painful family history It’s for a specific reason. Indeed, Nawell Madani says, at the conclusion of his Instagram message: “This weekend I heard someone say 'you threesome' and it broke my heart. Words can destroy. Think of children like Dalil and families like ours“. Finally, she sent a final message of love to her sister and her nephew: “Nabila and Dalil, you are my inspiration. With love, humor, and a little style, you show me that we can face anything“.

In comments, the young woman received a wave of “heart” emojis from many anonymous people but some personalities also expressed themselves such as the comedian Philippe Caverivière and columnist in the show “Quelle époque” on 2 but also Artus who, for some time, has been familiar with the subject of Down syndrome.
