Based on figures from SNEP and the Official Charts Company institute, the Top Albums communicated by Purecharts compiles physical sales, downloads and sales equivalents linked to performances on streaming platforms, including the back catalog (albums more than 3 years old). 'seniority).

The battle was very close as three big releases competed for first place in the Top French Albums. The crown goes… to the United States! To everyone's surprise, it is Linkin Park who became number one in sales this week with his latest album “From Zero”, sold 31,300 copies! By way of comparison, the previous album “One More Light” had achieved “only” 4,800 sales in May 2017. It's the best start of the year for an international group! So, Damso has to settle for second place with “I lied”. Thanks to a nice streaming score, which represents 74% of the total, the Belgian rapper sold 25,300 units of the project. Four years ago, “QALF” motivated 35,000 fans. Finally, Clara Luciani occupies third place in the ranking: her third opus “Mon sang”, evoking her motherhood, touched the hearts of 17,000 music lovers. In 2021, 22,000 people purchased “Heart”.

Adé misses his entrance

Faced with this leading trio, Julien Doré necessarily falls back to fourth position. For its second week of operation, his cover album “Imposter” convinced 12,400 fans (-62%). Then, two K-pop phenomena emerged: the group Enhypen with the reissue Romance: Untold -Daydream- (20th) then Jin from BTS with the solo album “Happy”. Two projects which attract 2,800 fans. The return of Linkin Park boosts sales of the cult record “Meteora”, 26th with 2,500 purchases, while Hubert-Félix Thiéfaine causes a sensation in 2,100 homes with “Unplugged” (35th). Ditto for Nuit Incolore with the reissue of “La loi du papel” and Shawn Mendes with “Shawn”, 37th and 38th with the same sales volume. Phenomenon of the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games, Lucky Love sold 1,200 copies of “I Don't Care If It Burns”, 93rd in the ranking. On the other hand, Adé does not reproduce the success of his first solo album. Its sophomore “Inside Out Mvmt”, decidedly more rock, took a shy 186th place with 784 fans there.
