An abandoned heritage. On January 28, 2005, Jacques Villeret lost his life, leaving behind his loved ones, notably his sister and his adopted son, Alexandre, born in 1976. The latter was adopted by the actor shortly after his marriage to the actress Irina Tarassov, in 1979. Thus, the interpreter of François Pignon in the Dinner for idiots always raised Alexandre like her real son and did everything to give him the best education possible. Today, the latter pays tribute to him by publishing the text of the famous film with the actor's annotations. He spoke about his relationship with his father in the columns of Gala.

The son of Jacques Villeret made some confidences about his not always easy childhood, because his father did not really let him go out. However, they spent a lot of time together, so when he died in 2005, Alexandre felt a real void. “I have never mourned, it is a scar that I have learned to live with and which does not heal“, he confided. Alexandre Villeret then returned to the concerns surrounding his father's inheritance. The actor had designated his sister, Ghislaine, as heir, but the latter refused the inheritance, fearing that he was in debt. Alexandre and the rest of his family did the same. However, a certain Ahmin Boufroura presented himself as the actor's half-brother and claimed his property. was condemned and Ghislaine finally regained control of the inheritance.

All these stories surrounding his father's succession did not reach Alexandre Villeret. “I didn't care so much that I completely erased myself. I always refused to participate in shows that invited me to talk about it. Today, I evoke the memory of my father because I want to show his work as an actor above all“, he explained. He has no problem with the fact of not having inherited from his father. “I inherited the moments spent with him, his upbringing, everything he was. I was lucky to be raised and loved by this man. But what makes me sad is his absence, the fact that he didn't see my children, Nikita and Lola, grow up.“, he concluded.
