Carole Bouquet: This holiday celebrated on her island with her loved ones, a secret garden where she forgets her ailments

Some people may love , but it is in another country that they find the peace, calm and balance they need to face everyday life and the problems that go with it. This is the case of Carole Bouquet. The actress, in the casting of the series Cat’s Eyes broadcast this Monday, November 11 on TF1, spoke to Match, whom she had invited, about the house she owns on the island of Pantelleriaa piece of land neighboring Sicily planted in the Mediterranean.

Carole Bouquet has known this island for around thirty years. By evoking Paul Rassam, the brother of his late ex Jean-Pierre Rassam, father of his son, the successful producer Dimitri Rassam, to whom we owe one of the biggest cinematic hits of the year Le Comte de Monte Cristoshe said: “We often live together. I spend my two summer months with him in Pantelleria.” The opportunity also to discuss the beautiful property she bought in the heart of several hectares of vines : “I designed this house to accommodate family and friends. There are sometimes up to sixteen of us and I feel like I'm running an inn. I have known Pantelleria for over 30 years and I am still very sensitive to its beauty.

In Pantelleria, Carole Bouquet forgets her worries

This haven of peace that she cherishes more than anything allows her to bring together her loved ones, including her son, Dimitri Rassam, and her grandchildren, to celebrate the harvest and your birthday notably. There, Carole Bouquet launched into wine production, planting seven hectares of vines out of the twenty-two that make up her property built in black volcanic stones from the island. Sangue d'Oro is the name of this nectar which is now his pride: “You don't improvise as a winemaker, and the idea was born on a whim. But once I was told that I couldn't do it, I wanted to prove the opposite. […] Making wine is not my job, but I am extremely attached to it and giving it up would tear my heart out.

Carole Bouquet also finds a way to maintain her health, she who was the victim of a fall in 2013 in her home which caused 12 stitches in her face. More than ten years later, the after-effects are still there but the actress repairs herself by swimming in the waters of Lago di Venere: “I can swim for two hours straight. I am first overwhelmed by negative thoughts, I summarize everything that is wrong in my life. But, at some point, I let go. I am then a body floating in the water, in a state close to meditation. Swimming relaxes me. No one can bother me.“What better way to let one of the sirens of French cinema sail?
