Camilla absent from Remembrance Sunday commemorations
Queen Camilla, suffering from a lung infection, gave up the Remembrance Sunday ceremonies, a meeting unavoidable for the royal family. It was Buckingham Palace which confirmed in a press release that the queen, aged 77, is resting at home and will not participate in the
Royal British Legion Festival at the Royal Albert Hall and Sunday service at the Cenotaph. “In accordance
medical recommendations to ensure healing complete and protect others, Her Majesty will not participate not at commemoration events this weekend.” said a spokesperson.
The Queen hopes to return to her duties next week. “Although it is a big disappointment for the Queen, she will mark the occasion privately at home and hopes to return to public duties early next week.” Although Palais assures us that there is no need to worry, his absence and his care will not not reassure the public.
