Swingers clubs, prostitutes, infidelity… “I don’t deprive myself of anything”

Claude Lelouch breaks taboos by revealing his provocative vision of love, desire, and fidelity.

Claude Lelouch, legend of French cinema, does not shy away from any subject, even the most intimate. During an interview with Galahe spoke without filter about his sex life, his extraordinary experiences, and his conception of love, far from usual conventions.

Claude Lelouch “doesn’t deprive himself of anything” in life

In an unfiltered interview for GalaClaude Lelouch, 86 years old, shares details of his personal life that leave no one indifferent. “I don't smoke, I don't drink, but sex… I don't deprive myself of anything. I want to know everything”he confides. Considering oneself as a “report from life”the director says he has always been curious about the human experience in its entirety, going so far as to frequent prostitutes. “I have always seen prostitutes. You have to love them, they make men happy. And that also applies to women who go to see prostitutes”he adds.

Claude Lelouch also reveals that he went to swingers clubs, emphasizing that his quest for carnal pleasures was always accompanied by deeper reflection. “Love wears out quickly if you only do it with your body and not with your head. For one night, beauty alone can be enough, but from the second, something else happens”he analyzes, emphasizing the complexity of human relationships and the need for a connection beyond the physical.

Claude Lelouch unfaithful?

The question of loyalty divides, and on this subject Claude Lelouch does not mince his words: “Only idiots are loyal” he says, provocatively. For him, loyalty is often a way of limiting oneself or lacking ambition. “Sometimes it's just a lack of ambition. I believe that we are faithful in a relationship until we find something better”, confides the director ofA man and a woman.

However, despite his blunt remarks, Claude Lelouch is currently experiencing a significant love affair with the writer Valérie Perrin, whom he married for the fourth time. A union that he describes as “showing skin.” And between them, despite the director's vision of sexuality, it seems to be a smooth affair.
