The actor, famous for his role as Abdel Fedala in the series More beautiful life, allegedly hit a woman with a car before fleeing. For the actor’s parents, the loss is immeasurable. Worse, it’s their second child who disappears, 10 years after the first. Bilal, Marwan’s little brother, died in 2013. When he went to live in Detroit, in the United States, he was shot and killed: his body was found in an abandoned building.
The journalist Charlotte Chaffanjon dedicated her investigative book, Two brothersto the story of these siblings, marked by extraordinary tragedies. Published this Thursday, October 10, the work reveals many details about this ordinary family with an extraordinary destiny. For the purposes of her investigation, the author met Martine and Mourad Berreni, the parents of Marwan Berreni. The latter, trying to overcome grief, made a big decision. While they had been living in a small village in Yonne for years, they chose to change their lives to settle in Brittany, near the sea. A dream for the sixty-year-old couple.
Martine and Mourad Berreni made a dream come true: they moved to Morbihan
In her work, the journalist reveals that the father of the deceased actor had told her that he had moved to Morbihan. “He sends me a photo of Martine, smiling, yellow boots in the sand, by the sea, with this quote from the Persian writer Hodjviri: ‘Life is a dream in Death wakes us…’ They are in Morbihan looking for their future home. For Bilal and Marwan, they are now writing the story of their parents after them, their parents after them“, writes the writer.

During her numerous interviews with the Berreni couple, the journalist was able to discuss these two brutal deaths. The parents of Marwan and Bilal do not understand how these tragedies could have happened. “Our house was light. Everything was fine and I don’t know what happened. I say to myself in a family that has flaws, maybe that can be explained, but in ours?“, asks the actor’s mother. Before resolving: “Nothing explains this.
