Keanu Reeves launches himself as a professional racing driver

After cinema, writing and music – with his group Dogstar – Keanu Reeves is taking on a new challenge: car racing. The Hollywood actor competed last weekend in his first professional events on the Indianapolis circuit in the United States. After a brief, inconsequential exit from the track, he finished 25th on Saturday and 24th on Sunday, several Anglo-Saxon media reported.

Keanu Reeves, 60, started the Toyota GR Cup in 31st place (out of a total of 35 participants), driving car No. 92, stamped “BRZRKR” – a reference to his graphic novel “The Book of Elsewhere”, co-signed with China Miéville and published in July 2024. At the best of the race, he was ranked 21st, according to Fox News.

A big fan of motor sports, the Canadian actor is not at his first car race. In 2009, he won a “celebrity special” at the Toyota Grand Prix in Long Beach (Los Angeles). He also participated in several motorcycle races. In 2011, he co-founded a motorcycle manufacturing company, ARCH Motorcycle, based in California.
