Michael J. Fox Thinks His Kids Haven’t Seen Every Movie in the Franchise

Actor Michael J. Fox, star of the “Back to the Future” saga, said his children probably haven’t seen all the films in the franchise.

An astonishing revelation. Father of four, actor Michael J. Fox, unforgettable as Marty MacFly in the “Back to the Future” franchise, explained that his children may not have seen all the films of the famous saga. The first part of this trilogy, directed by Robert Zemeckis which tells the story of the time travel of Marty Mc Fly and Doctor Emmett Brown, was released in 1985, followed by two other opuses in 1989 and 1990.

A revelation made during a round table devoted to the films of the franchise during Comic Con in Los Angeles, Friday October 4. Asked what his daughters thought of the different characters he played throughout this saga – notably when he played the daughter of his Marty Mac Fly character Marlene – the actor declared: “I don’t know if my daughters saw it,” suggesting that they would never have viewed the second part, reports the People site.

A confidence which surprises since the actor, suffering from Parkinson’s disease, has always been supported by his family and his children, and that the franchise has met with real cinematic success to the point of becoming cult. As a reminder, the first part recorded $381 million in worldwide revenue, giving rise to two sequels.

Michael J. Fox, whose Parkinson’s disease was diagnosed in 1991 at the age of 29, had four children with his wife Tracy Pollan: a son Sam Michael, born in 1989, and three daughters, twins Aquinnah Kathleen and Schuyler Frances, born in 1995 and Esmé Annabelle, born in 2001.

He publicly announced his illness in 1998, continuing to tour at a slower pace, before announcing the end of his career in 2020.
