Philippe Lavil and Pascale Petit in the spotlight in Les Grands du laughter with Bernard Montiel and Karen Cheryl

The week is already over. And like every Saturday, Bernard Montiel and Karen Cheryl (real name Isabelle Morizet) accompany your afternoon with The Greats of Laughter. An entertainment and variety show created by Humbert Ibach in 2003. But at the time, it was broadcast on 3. And it was not the 67-year-old presenter who was in charge alongside his 69-year-old sidekick , but Yves Lecoq. The program returned to C8 in 2024. And on October 5, a new program will be broadcast. Discover the program!

well that The Greats of Laughter has returned to another channel, the concept has not changed. The show always highlights humor and French songs. This week, Bernard Montiel and Karen Cheryl invited two distinguished guests. The first is a singer revealed to the general public in the 70s. This is Philippe Durand from La Villejegu du Fresnay, known as Philippe Lavil. The interpreter of She Prefers Love at Sea should not fail to discuss her successful career. Years notably marked by tragedies such as the disappearance of his manager and his producer or his skiing accident at the end of the 90s. “I had a neck brace, I weighed about thirty kilos. I lived in a small apartment and I couldn’t take care of the children who came to see me on Wednesdays. Not very funny“, he confided to Gala in April 2023.

Pascale Petit in The Greats of Laughter

But Philippe Lavil is not the only guest of Bernard Montiel and Karen Cheryl. The actress and singer Pascale Petit was also there. The mother of the famous Douchka Esposito did not fail to pose with the duo of animators as you can discover in our slideshow. Just like Philippe Lavil, she hasn’t only had good days either. She notably came close to death when she contracted Covid. “I spent three weeks in intensive care in a coma, from where I woke up very damaged. I had lost 10 kilos and my skin felt like leather. But hey, someone had saved my life. Then last spring, because of the pinched sciatic nerve, I almost couldn’t walk. I actually had two back operations. Today, I am galloping, but I am a resurrected person from many things!“, she revealed to France Sunday in February 2023.

But don’t panic, as the name of the show indicates, it’s rather laughter that will be in the spotlight. So see you on October 5, 2024, from 1:35 p.m., on C8.
