“A wonderful year” for Lounès Texier, who passed on her Miss Poitou-Charentes sash

Originally from Périgné, Lounès Texier presented Miss Poitou-Charentes’ sash on Friday October 4 to Angoumoise Charlie Bénard. She talks about her experience.

How was this year?

“It went really well. It’s very demanding, but it’s been a wonderful year. It’s sometimes intense, especially the preparation for Miss . We are very involved. Afterwards, in the regions, we go to a lot of events, we make people smile, it’s really nice. I’m very happy to have done it, not everyone has the chance to go. I had been first runner-up in my election at the start, and my life had changed quite a bit after that. Everything goes very quickly, the next day we prepare, we have the journalists… The time of preparation for Miss France, the presentation evenings, even this weekend, it’s very tiring. Plus we went to bed late! »

You said you wanted to make your little sister, who has Down syndrome, dream. Was that the case?

“She was like crazy. Last night, for the ceremony, she was in the front row. She really lived the year through me. »

Did you put your life on hold for a year?

“I put my license on hold, I couldn’t take the exams anyway. But I started again in September, as I only had one month left of miss. I’m fine, I’m a student. For people who work, it is undoubtedly more complicated. »

How will the rest go?

“That’s the order of things. I will coach the new miss, so that she is well prepared. I’m going to let her rest for two or three days, and then I’ll go see her, give her a little advice and mental coaching. »

And on social networks, how is it going?

“Social networks can be wonderful for communicating, but things can go very quickly in comments. You have to be very careful about this. But I went to monitor Charlie Bénard’s networks this morning, there’s no malice for the moment, so that’s fine! »
