Matthew Broderick, married for 27 years to Sarah Jessica Parker, explained why he never appeared on the series “Sex and the City” with his wife.
A missed opportunity. In the latest episode of “This Life of Mine” with James Corden, Matthew Broderick revealed the reason why he never starred alongside his wife Sarah Jessica Parker in the famous series “Sex and the City” .
“Every time there was a role I could have played, I couldn’t do it, that’s all. Sometimes people asked me: ‘Do you want to play the premature ejaculator for two days?’ And I replied: ‘You know, I don’t know, it’s a little embarrassing,’” the actor confided.
“I would have loved to do it or participate in it, but it was his thing, and I think that would have held me back in some way. It never worked. I love the show and would have been happy to be a part of it, but it never came to fruition,” he continued.
Sarah Jessica Parker played the famous Carrie Bradshaw in the hit series from 1998 to 2004, as well as in the two spin-off films and the reboot television series “And Just Like That….”.
The couple, who met in 1991, married in 1997. They then had three children together: their son James, born in 2002, and their twin daughters Marion and Tabitha, born in 2009.
