Florian found a job at the equipment manufacturer Good Year’s factory in Luxembourg. Solitary, he became passionate about two areas in which he put all his savings, cars (Editor’s note: a superb Mustang parked in front of his home testifies to this) and everything related to the image (photography, videos and cinema) . “I have a room at home that allows me to watch films in optimal conditions. I invested €45,000 in professional equipment and in a studio. For ten years, I have been offering my services as a videographer and for three years, as a photographer.” The shy and reserved young man had the opportunity to appear in a few films as an actor: “It was catastrophic as if a wind of panic invaded me and froze me into a block of ice, he remembers. I tried to put myself on the other side of the lens by photographing and filming others. This experience was a revelation, as if my dark side disappeared and I realized myself in this way. People have trusted me, the reception of my work, where I put my personal and artistic vision forward, has been increasingly positive. Today I do all kinds of projects, mainly in promotional films for medieval festivals and the forts of the Maginot Line.”
An ambitious feature film
For a year, Florian Ninin has been preparing an ambitious project, the production of a feature film: “Today, everything is ready to start filming. The script will start from the story of my childhood and my suffering, then will continue with a thriller, the plot of which I am keeping to myself. The first rushes will be shot on Sunday 6 October in Battincourt (Aubange) from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m..” The project requires a large team (camera operators, boom operator, makeup artist, hairdresser, actors and numerous extras, helpers) in a voluntary approach. 120 days of filming are planned.
Florian’s dream is that the reception of the film, which should be released at the end of 2025, beginning of 2026, will be so positive that distribution platforms are interested in its creation. “The specifications of a platform like Netflix are very demandinghe comments. But, I have planned everything to comfort myself there.”
