here is the improbable vampire film where the singer was to make an appearance

Particularly appreciated by fans of the franchise, “Blade II” could have become legendary if Michael Jackson had appeared on screen for one scene. A cameo that the production failed to materialize despite the desire expressed by the king of pop.

A sincere desire. Made in 2002, the film “Blade II” keeps a special place in the hearts of fans of the trilogy, in which Wesley Snipes plays the famous vampire hunter. The direction of Guillermo Del Toro – whose success with this film will allow him to obtain “Hellboy” – has a lot to do with it, since he has integrated his singular sense of action and horror. However, he could have achieved legendary status if Michael Jackson had been in the credits.

The King of Pop in “Blade”? Wesley Snipes told the American site Billboard in 2017 that Michael Jackson was a fan of the first part of “Blade”, and that he had personally contacted him about a possible role in the second film. “He was like, ‘No! I want to be Balde’s best friend – I want to fight with you!’ I told him he had a sense of humor. But he assured me that he was serious,” revealed the actor. For a time, a cameo without dialogue where Michael Jackson played a vampire who crosses paths with Nyssa Damaskinos (Leonor Varela) with bags full of blood and viscera had been imagined.

Unfortunately, the production of the film never managed to obtain the singer’s final agreement. The furtive appearance of this vampire was, however, filmed by Guillermo Del Toro by a Czech actor, before the scene was cut during editing. This did not prevent “Blade II” from becoming the most popular part of the trilogy. Recently, fans had the pleasure of reuniting with Wesley Snipes as the vampire hunter in “Deadpool & Wolverine,” twenty years after he last wore the costume in “Blade: Trinity.”
