Allan Lierhmann was indicted “for extortion by an organized gang and criminal association with a view to committing one or more crimes” and placed in pre-trial detention, Me Hugues Vigier and the Rouen public prosecutor’s office told AFP, confirming information from Paris-Normandy.
According to the daily, Poupette Kenza’s husband was “arrested at the airport on Monday September 23, 2024 as he returned to France to explain himself to the courts”, then indicted and imprisoned on Thursday.
An extortion attempt
Poupette Kenza, whose real name is Kenza Benchrif, was indicted after the complaint, on February 23, 2024, of a couple who “were the subject of various surveillance (physical, installation of mini-cameras around their home and GPS beacon placed on their vehicle) and was physically threatened on condition of handing over a sum of 200,000 euros,” the public prosecutor explained last July.
The investigation made it possible to find the alleged perpetrator who had been arrested during a meeting “planned for the delivery of the sum of money, while he was carrying a grenade”. This man admitted to having contacted the victims to “settle a financial dispute between them and an influencer currently residing in Dubai”.
Poupette Kenza order giver?
This alleged perpetrator was himself indicted for attempted extortion by an organized gang, possession of explosives and criminal conspiracy and placed in pre-trial detention. The investigations “tend to demonstrate the involvement” of Kenza Benchrif as “order giver” and the latter was arrested on July 4 near Rouen, according to the prosecution.
Also heard on a procedure targeting deceptive commercial practices in her activities as an influencer, she did not wish to answer the questions at the time. Her lawyers, Mourad Battikh and Jérémy Kalfon, affirmed in a press release that the young woman “denies having had the role attributed to her in this case” and “that on the contrary she was robbed of a large sum of money.” money.
Aged 24, Poupette Kenza is followed by 1.1 million accounts on Instagram and has a total of 1.2 million subscribers on TikTok.
