Invited onto Cyril Hanouna’s show, Frédérique Bel spoke about the actor Ary Abittan with whom she has appeared in several films.

Over the years, she has gained popularity thanks to her charm and humor. Before becoming an actress, she distinguished herself in The Blonde Minute on Canal+. It was a French comedy television series, broadcast between 2004 and 2006 as part of the show Le Grand Journal. Since then, she has made numerous appearances in successful films such as What have we done to God? Guest on the show Facing Baba by Cyril Hanouna, the actress answered the host’s questions frankly. She confided in her career and did not hesitate to address more sensitive topics. Frédérique Bel notably revealed traumatic experiences that she had in the past.

During the show, Frédérique Bel spoke about the assault she suffered at the hands of a “very well-known” actor.. “When I was an extra, an actor came into my dressing room. The actor who comes into my dressing room and throws himself at me, and you have the director who was dying of laughter behind…”she revealed.
And to continue: “I thought it was a joke, but actually no it wasn’t a joke at all… The guy closes the door and continues.”The actress then revealed that she met her attacker again several years later, on the set of a film. : “15 years later, I have a scene to do with him where we have to touch each other… And the guy goes for it so much that I ran away and I missed the casting!”
“We are judged if we speak”
Frédérique Bel thus deplored the silence that reigns in the world of the 7th art. Despite the emergence of the movement Metoowomen’s voices are not yet fully heard. According to her, actresses who are victims of assault and who speak out are sometimes ousted. “Which is very strange It’s just that in France it’s not the culture. Actresses who speak are very badly seen. […] We are judged if we speak, so it’s complicated.”she said.
“I never had any problems with Ary”
Questioned by Cyril Hanouna, Frédérique Bel also returned to the case of Ary Abittan. The actress had the opportunity to film several times with the actor: “I never had any problems with Ary. He took it hard“, she confided. A few years ago, she had already spoken about her colleague: “I made six films with Ary, without no inappropriate gesture or reflection on his part. So yes, I can blame him for spending his time laughing very loudly and singing old hits on the sets, but I can’t tell you more than that.”As a reminder, the actor and comedian obtained a dismissal in the investigations launched after the complaint of a woman who accused him of having raped her in October 2021.
