“He flirted with all the women”: Gersende, Francis Perrin’s wife, talks about their meeting… She wasn’t a fan at all!

Sunday September 15, Francis Perrin was Michel Drucker’s guest in the show Looking forward to Sunday on 3. For the long-awaited return of the program, the actor discussed his latest play, The Duplexalongside Corinne Touzet, Pascal Légitimus and Anny Duperey. In addition to this promotion, Francis Perrin had the surprise of sharing this moment with his wife Gersende and their son Louis, who has autism. This occasion allowed Gersende to remember their first meeting dating back tomore than twenty years ago.

“I found him terrible”

Gersende Perrin revealed that she was not at all impressed by Francis during their first meeting. A student at the conservatory, she met him completely by chance. Francis, then looking for new talent, auditioned her for a role in the play Don’t wake up Madam by Jean Anouilh. She told Michel Drucker: “I didn’t like him very much, if at all…” In front of her husband, who was visibly surprised, she explained that His flirtatious attitude deeply bothered her.. She then laughed and added: “He really annoyed me, he flirted with all the girls, I found him terrible! “Her statement provoked bursts of laughter from the audience. To top it all off, she confessed, with a slight grimace, that she had had to kiss him on stage for a play, a memory that made her smile, but which, at the time, amused her less!

Everything changed between them after a rehearsal, when one evening they had a moment of rapprochement unexpected. Francis remembers this moment as a “evidence“, although the couple can’t really explain what happened. A kiss exchanged on the hood of Francis’ car marked the beginning of a romance and transformed their relationship. Soon, their story took a serious turn. Married in 2002, they had three children : Louis, Clarisse and Baptiste. Francis, for his part, was already the father of three daughters from a previous marriage. A lovely blended family!
