A choice that first delighted Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene, respectively president and vice-president of the Monegasque Red Cross, who made their entrance under the crackling flashes of the photographers. The sovereign’s wife, smiling, is very beautiful in a shiny white dress with a low back. It features magnificent sapphire and diamond earrings by jeweler Van Cleef & Arpels.

The princely couple are accompanied this evening by Camille Gottlieb, head of the Youth section of the Monegasque Red Cross since 2021. The sovereign’s niece, divine in a lilac Zuhair Murad dress, is taking part in the event for the second consecutive year. A new tradition for Camille, close to her uncle Albert?

The Monegasque branch of the Red Cross, founded in 1948 by Louis II, has the main mission “to assist the most vulnerable people in all impartiality and without discrimination”. This annual meeting organized by Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer salutes the daily work of employees and volunteers, without forgetting to thank the donors that the institution needs to set up its actions in the field.

But the evening also serves – and above all – to raise funds. In the room decorated with large colorful Memphis-style motifs, the traditional tombola punctuates the dinner. One of the most prestigious lots caused the auction to soar: it was a pink gold Chopard watch set with 38 diamonds offered by Princess Charlene.
