Olympique de Marseille continues to closely monitor the case of Nicola Zalewski, a young Polish talent playing for Roma.
According to La Repubblica, the player's contract with the Roman club expires in 2025, but it seems unlikely that he will extend. OM, which is looking to strengthen its left side, could finalize its transfer this winter.
A versatile reinforcement for OM
Zalewski, at 23, already has solid experience in Serie A with Roma and around twenty national team caps. Capable of playing both as a winger and left piston, he would offer OM a valuable alternative to Quentin Merlin. His technical profile and his versatility would be major assets for Roberto De Zerbi's team, already looking for reinforcement for the second part of the season.
However, competition could become tougher, as La Gazzetta dello Sport mentions a possible exchange between Roma and Inter Milan for the Polish international, which could complicate negotiations with OM.
