The leo bags intended for sorting plastic waste is experiencing resounding success, is delighted Echandens.
Since January 1, a new plastics recovery sector has been open at the Echandens sorting center. With the exception of pet to drink bottles and spray type, almost all types of plastics can be collected: packaging of laundry and cleaning products, protection films and food films, Tetra Pak, plastic bottles of all types (Oil, vinegar, sauce) Cosmetics packaging or thermoformed plastic (eggs, cookies, fruit, meat).
Installed in Grandson, the company Leo Recycle has been operating since last summer to sort the plastic packaging and drinks bricks in a local manner. With specific bags, purple color.
And the craze is there, the municipality of Echandens is delighted on its website. “The population has deposited the first Leo bags from the holidays!”
-If each cleaning received a copy for free at the end of last year, requests for the purchase of bags are also already felt. They are currently sold in rollers of 10 rooms or per unit for the containers of 35 L (1.80 francs per unit) and 60 L (3 francs per unit) to the municipal administration. The 17 L and 110 L bags are victims of their success and will be available again in mid-February.
A project manager will be present on February 1 at the Echandens sorting center to present the sector, answer questions and give information about it.
