Copyright affair between Tamsir and Team Paiya: Serge Beynaud brings a clarification

The artist Serge Beynaud reacted to the controversy surrounding the copyright of the title blow of the hammer, opposing Tamsir and the Paiya team.

On the set of Yvidero’s show, the members of Team Paiya, notably Zagba the Shark and Samo Samo, explained the origin of their dispute with Tamsir, denouncing a bad distribution of rights on the song of the hammer.

Faced with this controversy, Serge Beynaud came out of his silence to provide details on the distribution of copyright from a song.

« Copyright

First, you have to understand that if you have neither sang nor write a song, you are not entitled to anything. There is no debate on it.

It is not enough to belong to a group, to simply dance to Tiktok, and to hope to touch copyright. Wait for the shows, you will have your part.

Now let’s talk about Djai (money) to the Sacem:

  • The author is entitled to 1/3.
  • The composer at 1/3.
  • The publisher at 1/3.

Regarding the distribution of hammer blow:

  • Authors: 10 people are declared authors and must share the 33.33 %.
  • Composers: Tamsir and Kemayo share 33.33 %.
  • Publisher: Cisum, which is apparently the tamsir box itself, holds 33.33 %.

In summary, Tamsir benefits from the shares as author, composer and publisher.
To simplify, imagine that this distribution works as a tontine: Tamsir would have three parts, while the other authors would only have to share between them.

What is logical is that Tamsir must perceive a larger share than the others, but that should not exceed 50 to 65 %, depending on the distribution.
If he really took 87 %, then it’s just flight ”he wrote on his Facebook page.
