Robert Pattinson has not hidden his concern about the recent difficult years experienced by the film industry. It must be said that since 2020, it has not been spared.
“In recent years, starting with Covid and then the strikes (of actors and screenwriters in the United States), everyone kept saying that cinema was dying. And quite convincingly,” the actor confided to Vanity Fair.
A period during which the films seemed very formatted to him, to the point that “for two years, all the actors were asking themselves: ‘What is happening? Nothing is cool anymore’”, laments the actor who recently became a father.
A new wind
But Robert Pattinson now sees the end of the tunnel thanks to “a burst of very ambitious films”.
-“I have the impression that the films that are going to be nominated for the Oscars this year are going to be really interesting,” enthused Robert Pattinson before the announcement of the nominations, who is also delighted to see “a new generation of directors who also fascinate the public.
In the meantime, we will find the actor in Mickey 17the next film from Bong Joon-ho, the Oscar-winning director of Parasite.
