The Minister of Culture competed with elegance this Saturday, to welcome the former Sofia Sofia of Spain on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the construction of the Opera Garnier.
The Palais Garnier received beautiful people this Saturday, January 26. To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the building, open to the public on January 5, 1875, a great mass was given welcoming as guest of honor the former Queen Sofia of Spain, wife of Juan Carlos I. To receive it under the ors of the palace, the Minister of Culture Rachida Dati had dressed in her most beautiful gala outfit. The elected under the government of Emmanuel Macron had thus bet on black, symbol of elegance, opting for a belted corset dress, surmounted by a long black velvet cape.
-Faced with her, Sofia of Spain, 86 years old, appeared in a long blue dress. The garment was embroidered in the sleeves and the skirt, signed by the creator Alejandro de Miguel. An accessorized outfit of a large collar of pearls and a Jimmy Choo pocket. Note that in this evening organized under the sign of the arts and culture, the latter was received by Minister Rachida Dati but also by José Carlos Martinez, former artistic director of the National Spanish Dance Company and by Alexander Neef, the director of the opera.
Finally, after posing on the stage of the Opera Garnier, Sofia of Spain and Rachida Dati took a tour together behind the performance hall. The arrival of the old monarch and the course of the evening once again testify to the ties that unite the Spanish royal family and French culture.
