The 50th anniversary of the Césars offers a myriad of masters and mistresses of ceremonies. The next edition of the French cinema awards, which will be held on February 28, will be presented in a “collegial” manner, Canal+ announced in a press release this Friday, which will broadcast the event unencrypted.

The evening will be presented by 13 artists “who will share their love of the 7th art and celebrate the time of this prestigious event, all the talents who will have contributed to this exceptional year of cinema”, it is written.

Two Honorary Caesars

On stage, Jean-Pascal Zadi, Emmanuelle Béart, Alice Belaïdi, Cécile de , Hafsia Herzi, Bouli Lanners, William Lebghil, Vincent Macaigne, Pio Marmaï, Vimala Pons, Raphaël Quenard, Ludivine Sagnier and Justine Triet will follow one another. The ceremony will be chaired by actress Catherine Deneuve.

This “college presentation” will be directed by director Cédric Klapisch. Canal+ promises a “historic, joyful ceremony, rich in surprises and emotion, which will highlight the richness and diversity of French cinema”.

Two Honorary Césars will be awarded during this 50th ceremony, to actress Julia Roberts and filmmaker Costa-Gavras.
