An unexpected link. Thursday January 23, 2025, Marine and Ebony, the two big finalists of the Star Academy received a big surprise. A few days before the grand final, Matt Pokora visited them at the Château de Dammarie-les-Lys to share a special moment with the two young women. Between two tips, the singer cooked them a Cuban dish, beef picadillo, a recipe inspired by his wife Christina Milian. Before leaving the castle, Matt Pokora also took advantage of his visit to rehearse their duet with Marine for the final. Together, they will perform his title Just a photo of you, a moment which is already shaping up to be one of the highlights of the prime. But during the evening, another moment stood out, when during a discussion, Matt Pokora revealed that he knew Ebony’s dad, the singer Thierry Cham. “I did sets with your dad, multi-artist sets at the time of ‘At the Bottom of the Oceans’, it was there, it was when I started,” said Matt Pokora.
“It was a long time ago, when I started in 2003,” Matt Pokora then recalled, a time when Ebony was not yet the talented artist that viewers were able to discover this season.
