Difficult confidences. This Wednesday, January 22, 2025, Mouloud Achour hosted a new issue of Clique on Canal +. Exit the famous French skipper Charlie Dalin, it is with Lénie, emblematic candidate of the Star Academy 11that the star presenter had the chance to talk to.
During this interview, the young singer had the opportunity to address several themes. And one of them was particularly painful.
A few months after opening his heart to his complex relationship with his fatherthe pretty brunette has indeed returned to this delicate subject.
Lénie broken by the absence of her father
With emotion, Lénie revealed in particular that she had felt for a long time not being “that a less than nothing“, a view of herself that she attributes, “indirectly“, to her father. It was ultimately in music that she found refuge, an escape that allowed her to rebuild herself.
Although deeply hurt by her father’s behavior, Lénie has visibly taken a step back from the situation and seems to have found inner peace.even if it recognizes that the impact of these actions has been negative on its development.
“I think he wanted to instill certain things in me and he didn’t have the art and the way“, confided the artist before admitting that “even as a young woman today, it’s hard to grow up with certain words that stay in your mind and with which you build yourself. Like: ‘you’re bad at this’, ‘Do you really think that’s a success?’ Whereas for me, it was my whole life. In fact, it is words that are really impactful as a child and that we get hit in the face a little even though we didn’t ask for anything.“
“It was as I grew up that I understood that the person in front of me was just giving me what they had and that it was their way of being. It’s a look I have today as a young woman that I didn’t have when I was little.“, explained the interpreter of I’m not afraid anymore.
-A negative perception of men
If Lénie today recognizes having “forgiven some things“, certain gestures will probably remain forever engraved in his memory, starting with the absence. An absence which profoundly affected his perception of men.
“The vision I had of the man was horrible. I had to not trust anyone. (…) I had real rage for men“, she said. Luckily, her stepfather succeeded in helping him.”show another side“.
From now on, she no longer intends to reproduce the toxic behaviors with which she grew up.
