You have just been awarded the Female Revelation Award at the Prix des Lumières 2025. Would you have imagined experiencing this success when you accepted the role of Lesia in the film The Kingdom?
Receiving this award is a huge honor and a real surprise. I absolutely did not expect that my role in The Kingdom can take me this far. It’s a wonderful recognition and a gesture that touches me deeply. I would like to thank the Academy of Lights once again for granting me this honor. This award is an extraordinary source of motivation to continue working and moving forward on this path. It is not only the recognition of individual work, but also that of collective work. I would especially like to express my gratitude to Julien Colonna, the director, who allowed me to live this experience by giving me the role of Lesia. Without him, I would never have had the opportunity to be here today. I am sincerely grateful to him.
Were you the only Corsican nominated?
No, Clara Maria Laredo was also in competition for her role in Thierry de Peretti’s film, In his image. It was a pleasure to be able to share this moment with her. We both come from an island where cinema is taking up more and more space, and this mutual recognition is a sign that Corsica is a land of talent.
