Marion Cotillard and her long transparent Chanel dress captivate the evening of the César Revelations

When Marion Cotillard wears Chanel, you always have to expect a big fashion moment. The 49-year-old French actress proved it once again on the evening of January 20 at the Élysée Montmartre in Paris. Invited to the 2025 César Revelations ceremony, the star of The Kid (2007) caused a sensation by appearing at the photocall wearing a Chanel dress from the Métiers d'Art 2024-2025 collection presented a month earlier in China.

This fluid, black piece, enhanced with several gold embroidery on the sleeves and bottom of the dress, stood out with its transparent mesh which subtly revealed the Oscar-winning actress' underwear. As for beauty, Marion Cotillard was tempted by natural “French” makeup, and sported a hairstyle with beautiful curls. A classic cut, very different from the mullet she had adopted a year earlier at the Olympia during the 49th Cesar ceremony.

Proud godmother

During the dinner, organized in partnership with the house of Chanel, thirty-two young actors and actresses were celebrated. Each young talent was accompanied throughout the evening by their godfather or godmother. Marion Cotillard was thus spotted in the arms of Aloïse Sauvage, in the running for the title of best female revelation 2025. We also encountered Laetitia Casta with Melodie Simina, Pierre Niney accompanied by Abou Sangaré or even François Civil arm in arm with actress Mallory Wanecque.

“When I see her smile, there is something that upsets me. Her energy, the artist that she is, with a purity of intention…Everything she says touches me,” Marion Cotillard confided about Aloïse Sauvage during an interview with Canal+ during the evening. A fashion godmother, and a proud one.
