Sabrina Ouazani was only 16 years old when she began her career in “L’Esquive”, by Abdellatif Kechiche, in 2004. More than 20 years later, she is now an acclaimed actress among the general public: after having been highly appreciated in supporting roles in social dramas, such as “Of Men and Gods” or “The Source of Women”, she has established herself in numerous popular projects, from “Taxi 5” to “Far from the ring road”.

Her next project, for which she is currently refining the script, on a theme that is particularly close to her heart: the social pressure exerted on women after the age of thirty. Particularly when they are in a relationship, even if she herself is single since her breakup with Franck Gastambide.

Even today, and while they are perfectly within the norm, women who do not have children by the age of 30 are considered marginal by the general public. Also, they are under real pressure from their family and those around them.

In an interview with Libération, Sabrina Ouazani notably recounted an anecdote, which took place while she was congratulating a pregnant friend. The latter then replied: “And you? It’s horrible, Sabrina, what’s happening? He doesn’t want to, can’t you?”

A very difficult reflection for the actress to accept: “It hurt me, so much.”

In this interview, Sabrina Ouazani affirms: “For fifteen years, I have never met the man who could have been the father of my children.” And above all, she is tired of the thoughts: “I’ve been bombarded with this for more than six years. I would like us to no longer be ashamed to say that we don’t have children, that we stop associating that with failure.” In the meantime, she would have liked to freeze her eggs, but the process is “laborious”, as she confided to La Tribune du Dimanche in 2024: “In , there is a wait of more than two years. I’m 35 years old, and with this delay, I will be over the legal age when it’s my turn.”

However, this is not the first time that she has spoken about her desire to have a baby. In 2022, in an interview with Télé-Loisirs, Sabrina Ouazani said: “I would like to embark on this new phase of my life. My biological clock is ticking, it tickles me. My best friend has two boys and when I see them giving him so much love, I melt. It’s this unconditional love, I think, that we all dream of. I hope that one day, I too will have a little being who will tell me. ‘Mom’ !” In the meantime, she is patient.
