The Eurelian Fairy Festival returns on Saturday June 28, 2025 at the Château des Vaux in Saint-Maurice-Saint-Germain

The site is a green setting in the Eure valley which contains the Château des Vaux, a former lordship of the Aligre family, owned since 1946 by the Fondation des Apprentis d’Auteuil, in Saint-Maurice-Saint -Germain, between Courville-sur-Eure and La Loupe. Some 900 young people are now welcomed there in middle and vocational high schools.

For the Fééries euréliiennes which are preparing for June 28, a fireworks competition organized under the associative regime with the support of partners such as the departmental council of Eure-et-Loir, the eyes of the spectators will also be turned towards the sky.

More fluidity

The 2024 edition at the Pipe-Souris racecourse, near La Ferté-Vidame, brought together 7,000 festival-goers. “We hope to welcome more this year,” announced President Christophe Leroux during a press briefing held yesterday. We are designed to do it. »

The lessons of the first edition have been learned: “We will be better prepared in terms of logistics to welcome spectators. The site will be open from 4 p.m. and not at 6 p.m. as in July. We have planned activities and concerts around a village of food trucks which will be able to provide more than 6,000 meals in two hours,” explain the organizers.

Three competitors

On the artistic level, the fireworks teams of three internationally renowned creators in the world of pyrotechnic arts will be present: “These are competitors who come this year from Germany, Belgium and Poland. We chose them because all three of them have different styles and universes and we did not impose any theme on them for the competition,” indicates Patrick Brault, the artistic director of the festival.

Despite the success that crowned the first edition, the organizers did not recover their costs. According to Christophe Leroux, “three years are often necessary for a fireworks festival to be established and to ensure its sustainability. It is all the more important for us to produce a positive result as we would like to donate our profits to Eurelian associations.”

For the president of the Eure-et-Loir departmental council, Christophe Le Dorven (LR), “the Department has chosen to support this festival until it reaches maturity as a financier. This is due to the fact that we want major events to take place throughout the Eurelian territory and not just in the central towns of the districts.”

Practical. The festival ticket office will be open to the public from February 1, 2025 on www.feeries-eureliennes.com Prices: €24 (adults), €18 (from 6 to 15 years old) and €20 (students, PRM + chaperones, groups and CE). Parking: €5. The association of Eurelian Fairies is always looking for partners ([email protected]) and volunteers ([email protected])
