Gisèle Pelicot is the victim of abuse perpetuated by her husband and around fifty strangers. After the judgment, it was time for confessions…
Mazan’s trial caused a stir in the media. And for good reason, the affair strongly alerted public opinion. Promoting a hot topic, Gisèle Pelicot opens the way for many victims who do not dare to speak. Abused by her husband, Dominique Pelicot and more than fifty men, the septuagenarian confronted her attackers in court. Most of them have been found guilty and are serving sentences of 3 to 20 years of imprisonmentincluding her husband. One of them actually had very confusing words towards him.
Gisèle Pelicot puts an end to her guilt
It was in 2018 that Nicolas François, a 42-year-old journalist, decided to take a look at Coco, with the aim of finding a partner. He wanted, we learn in the columns of Libération,
“test other things”. And this curiosity will lead him to contact Dominique, husband of Gisèle Pelicot.
“Light bisexual” as he says, he would then like to have a relationship with the septuagenarian, who completely denies having wanted to take action with him. When he arrives at the latter’s home, he discovers Gisèle Pelicot, displayed for so-called exhibitionist inclinations, asleep in the marital bed.
When the accused minimize the facts
“He sometimes takes medication to sleep”assures Dominique Pelicot, so as not to make the latter turn around. He thus hopes to be able to watch him abuse his wife. Nicolas will comply, but assures that he has “breathe” coitus. “I could never have a complete relationship with a person who remains inert”he says. [Gisèle Pelicot] is a victim of my stupidity, of my lack of discernment”. To top it off, the seizures will show that the journalist had images of child pornography on USB keys as well as on his computer. But also scatophilic and zoophilic photos. “I deny having possessed and even more so being attracted to children”he proclaims loud and clear.
Gisèle Pelicot: after years of wandering, the ax falls
Nicolas François was therefore tried in the Mazan rape trial. Unlike others, he only came once, on the night of January 14 to 15, 2018. The required sentence was 14 years, but the verdict gives 8 years of imprisonment. We also learn that the court ordered a socio-judicial measure on him for a period of 5 years. He would also have to spend 3 years in the event of non-compliance. Also, given the images found on his devices, he loses the right to exercise a professional or even voluntary activity in contact with minors. For his part, Caroline Darian, daughter of Gisèle Pelicot, also thinks she was a victim of his father. “He should die in prison, he is a dangerous man”she told the BBC.
