Sylvester Stallone becomes Donald Trump’s “special ambassador” in Hollywood for his second term

UNITED STATES – Controversial actors Sylvester Stallone, Jon Voight and Mel Gibson, long-time supporters of Donald Trump, were symbolically killed on Thursday January 16 “ambassadors” in Hollywood to be “eyes and ears” of the future president in a film industry that is overwhelmingly pro-democrat.

Sylvester Stallone, a 78-year-old New Yorker who played Rambo et Rockyinaugurated a gala for the president-elect in mid-November in his stronghold of Mar-a-Lago in Florida. Jon Voight, 86, was awarded the National Medal of Arts during Donald Trump’s first term. As for the actor and director Mel Gibson, at 69 years old he has been an unapologetic ultraconservative for decades.

“I am honored to announce that Jon Voight, Mel Gibson and Sylvester Stallone will be special ambassadors to this important but very turbulent place that is Hollywood, California”wrote on his Truth Social network the Republican billionaire who returns to the White House on Monday.

The three men, multi-awarded by the film industry, have between them ten Oscar nominations and three of these trophies.

Stallone, the « second George Washington »

Jon Voight, father of superstar Angelina Jolie, made the headlines in 2020 in the news section when actor Frank Whaley accused him of slapping him on set. In a film industry that is overwhelmingly pro-democrat, Jon Voight is known for his early support for Donald Trump.

Mel Gibson, also Irish and who grew up in Australia, has been accused of anti-Semitism, racism, homophobia, alcoholism and domestic violence.

Finally Sylvester Stallone, for whom Donald Trump is the « second George Washington »was accused of sexual assault in the late 1980s, all of which he denied and which did not result in legal action.

“These three talented personalities will be my eyes and ears and I will do what they suggest. It will be a question of rediscovering, as for the United States of America, the Golden Age of Hollywood! »concluded the Republican who on January 20 will be the first president in the history of the country to have been criminally convicted.

The 78-year-old future president is rejected by many music and cinema stars. Like Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Bruce Springsteen and George Clooney who supported Democratic Vice-President Kamala Harris in the presidential election.
