However, the gate which separates the isolation sector from the rest of the prison, as well as from another cell, remained open. According to RTL, this situation is prohibited, and Pierre Palmade could have been attacked by another inmate. But no more serious incident reportedly occurred, and the doors were eventually closed again.

Pierre Palmade was imprisoned on December 9. The 56-year-old comedian and actor was sentenced on November 20 to five years of imprisonment, including two years, and had decided not to appeal the conviction. He was placed in an isolation unit at Bordeaux- prison, in . According to information from Le Figaro, these are “dirty and unsanitary places plagued by drug trafficking”. Once incarcerated, Pierre Palmade will be able to request a sentence modification for the two years in prison to which he was sentenced.

This request must then be submitted for the decision of a sentence enforcement judge after an adversarial hearing. His three-year suspended sentence is subject to an obligation of care and work. The actor says he has been abstinent for several months, and has already started psychotherapy since September 2023.

Three seriously injured

The 10 February 2023, Pierre Palmade took the car after three days of using drugs without sleeping. His vehicle hit a car traveling in the opposite lane, in Seine-et-. A 38-year-old man, his six-year-old son and his 27-year-old sister-in-law answho lost her unborn daughter, were seriously injured following the impact. The actor tested positive for drugs and was tried for involuntary injuries.
