The fifth season of The Island started last Tuesday January 7 on M6. This year, ten celebrities are trying to brave the dangers of the island of Ko Tarutao, in the southwest of Thailand. Among them, the former Miss France Nathalie Marquay-Pernaut. Coming with the aim of finding herself and moving forward in the mourning of her husband Jean-Pierre Pernaut, she quickly took on the role of mother on the island. His good humor seems to be an essential element in the cohesion of the group, which is struggling to find itself, in particular because of the authoritarian temperament of Julien Cohen. “AAt the beginning, Julien, he is unbearable, misogynistic like no other. We said to ourselves that it’s normal that he doesn’t have any friends if he reacts like that,” confides the ex-beauty queen in an interview given to Tele-Leisure.

The filming of The Island is conducive to the birth of beautiful friendships. If she was already very close with Delphine Wespiser, Nathalie Marquay-Pernaut discovered other people during the adventure. “I got to know Lucie, who is exceptional and whom I adore”she tells us. “It’s like when I did The Traitors, I had no difference between the two adventures.
