Laurent Lafitte returns in a new film. With The Fourth Wall by David Oelhoffen, the actor plays a director who aims to stage the play Antigone and perform it in Beirut in 1982. Inspired by the book by Sorj Chalandon, the story positions the actor in a dramatic register. Having filmed on location, in a geographical area ravaged by war, Laurent Lafitte indicates that he was able to draw inspiration from this atmosphere to transcribe it in the film: ”I have been told that the city has changed little. Just see the walls, there are bullet holes, tIt’s all there. Unfortunately for this city, the civil war is very easy to reconstruct, and then we also filmed in a Palestinian camp…”, he confides to our colleagues at 20 Minutes.
