And the adventure is soon coming to an end since on January 18, 2025, the first channel will broadcast the second semi-final which will pit Ebony against Franck. A stage that Julien Lieb knows well since he reached it last year, against Axel. Then, he faced Pierre Garnier in the final, but did not emerge victorious. Nothing to depress him if we are to believe his latest statements.
On January 13, 2025, in Good evening prime (Les News 24), the singer of the title The Game came to talk about his tour which has started, as well as his first album which will be released next spring. He therefore defends his songs on stage before revealing them on record. “There was a somewhat pirate desire to say: ‘We’re doing things a little backwards.’ I like the concept. I think I’m more of a live artist than a studio artist. (…) I tell myself that if I go to see an artist that I like and I see titles that he has never done in front of anyone, there is a craze that I would like. So I wanted to suggest this“, he confided. Then he mentioned the “dose of love so sincere” that he receives from the public. A situation that he would never have imagined when he was at the castle of Dammarie-les-Lys.
Julien Lieb explains why he didn’t want to win Star Academy
Precisely, concerning his adventure Star Academyhe only keeps the positive. “Obviously, there is a lot of fatigue. Whether it’s for the show or the tour, but it changes your life. You meet people you like and you progress, you make yourself visible“, he clarified. If he was happy to go this far in the adventure, Julien Lieb did not want to win. “It was scary. I told my mother before even being received. I told her: ‘Like a real mom, I don’t want to win.’ She had panicked. She replied: ‘What the hell are you?’ (…) I was afraid of the image of a winner, of this world that I didn’t know, of the Sony contract… I was afraid of all that stuff. I was afraid of being told, ‘You can’t do that.’ And I’m a real dickhead so if someone told me that, I was going to be hell to deal with.“, he justified.
He was therefore happy to bow to Pierre Garnier, whose success he is delighted with.
