It was a terrible outcome for Anne, a French woman who believed she was having a romantic relationship with Brad Pitt for more than a year. On TF1, “Seven to eight” broadcast a report on this large-scale scam which cost him more than 800,000 euros, and which is being talked about even in Hollywood.
And face to mocking comments from the general publicthe channel decided to remove the replay of the show. If Karine Le Marchand and many others were ironic about the situation, certain artists like Vianney expressed their sorrow for the victim. Among them, a certain Michaël Youn, whose message is controversial on the Web.
His comparison with God which did not come across at all
Indeed, he who is currently promoting his latest film, with Jean-Claude Van Damme, “The gardener“, spoke about the matter.
He estimated: “We don't care about Anne who thought she was talking to Brad Pitt, when we've been listening to those who say they're talking with an old man with a white beard who lives in the sky for centuries…” A mention made to God which created a bad buzz, on X.
Thus, we noted messages from Internet users who were more or less upset against Michaël Youn. It was first pointed out to him: “You missed the chance to shut your mouth“. And then tackle him: “This comparison is completely stupid”. But still: “Yet another attack on Christianity, free of charge at that…”.
Another follower preferred to outdo it with another joke: “I'm sorry but Santa Claus exists, we have to stop at some point. How do we get the presents?”
On January 9, 2025, while he was the guest of Léa Salamé, on France Inter, Michaël Youn spoke about his faith. The journalist, in the context of the death of Jean-Marie Le Pen, and the use of his music by some to celebrate it, questioned him about his background.
Michaël Youn is agnostic
She then explained on the air, “part of your family is Jewish, the other is practicing Italian Catholic”. And to ask Michaël Youn, directly: “what are you? Both, Jewish, Christian, nothing, everything?”
The actor and comedian replied, regarding religion: “When I want to find easy solutions, I will say that I am agnostic, that is to say I believe in a question mark”.
