The airline Edelweiss will expand its workforce with 350 new positions. Staffing requirements have been increased due to the renewal and expansion of the fleet for long-haul flights with the six new A350 aircraft.

(Keystone-ATS) In total, 300 training places are open in 2025 for cabin crew and more than 40 for pilots, the company explained in a press release on Tuesday.

As announced last August, the first flight of the Airbus A350 will take place on April 1 to Tenerife, then to Las Vegas which will be the first long-haul destination served by the new aircraft. With the entry into service of the second A350 in July, the Zurich-Vancouver connection will be operated daily.

In addition, the extension of the network of destinations will make it possible to serve Halifax in Canada and Seattle in the United States from this summer, as well as several other cities: Zadar in Croatia, Terceira in the Azores, Tiflis in Georgia and even Bristol in England and Calvi in ​​Corsica.
