His face is well known to viewers of The Kindergarten House ( 5). But not only, because if Anna Roy is a columnist on Agathe Lecaron’s show, she is above all a midwife. She has accompanied and still supports many women on this unique journey. On Instagram, she also shares her advice and experience, which is followed by more than 270k subscribers. And it is also in bookstores that you may have seen his name. She has authored more than one work, including Baby Clash, becoming parents without tearing yourself apart. And then there is Huge (ed. Larousse), this 192-page book released by Anna Roy since Wednesday January 8. A book that makes noise because its content is shocking. She talks about the obesity that she had to overcome, her addiction to sugar which she fought against, with the help of Agathe Lecaron. From the loss of his father, but alsoi of the two rapes she suffered.

The most famous midwife, mother of two children (born in 2016 and 2018), remembers these tragedies experienced in 2011. It was during an evening “very worldly” that she sees again “a guy who has already met on several occasions“. “Each time, he makes it clear to me that he would like something to happen, and I make it clear to him that I don’t want to. But that evening, it was a black hole. The next morning, I wake up naked in his bed. I panic, I try to summon my memoriessays Anna Roy. I only have flashes. There are no thirty-six solutions, I was drugged. He doesn’t even bother to deny it. He prefers to make fun of me and my inability to let go: ‘Oh it’s okay, I’m sure it did you good, accept losing control a little’.” But like many other victims, she prefers to suppress this story: “A man is raping me, and I don’t want to cause him any harm. There it is, the sad truth. I convince myself that this is an isolated act, that he is not a predator, not a rapist. Just a rapist of Anna. I convince myself that if it’s only me that he can do that, then I must have something to do with it.

Raped twice, Anna Roy sank into guilt: “I convince myself that…”

A few months later, in another social evening, I had a series of glasses of alcohol. I’m dead drunk. I wake up in a man’s bed, with no memory of what happened except the weight of his body on minecan we read in Huge. Even when I’m drugged, I consider it somewhat my fault. So when I’m dead drunk, I logically take all the responsibility. And then it’s the second time, no coincidence, my little Anna, you have what you deserve after all. You just had to go out less, you’re well punished. My rapists gained threefold: they had my body, my silence, and today they have my guilt. That of not having even managed to consider myself as a victim.“The Maternelles columnist then decides not to consider these two events,”that it’s not so bad to be afraid of men now“. However, as she writes, according to her psychologist, it is these two rapes which could largely explain that she seeks refuge in sugar. Following these terrible events, Anna Roy lost her father, who died in 59 years old.

Anna Roy: how Agathe Lecaron saved her life

She hid her sorrow in food and more specifically in sugar, her addiction to it. “My dad is no longer here, but I am safe behind my layer of fat. Human relationships have become easy. The girls are nicer since I don’t risk overshadowing them. There is no longer this rivalry orchestrated by men. No more salacious remarks at work, nor undressing looks: no one wants to see what’s under my blousewrites the midwife. With this body, they would never have raped me, these two bastards. They were luxury rapists. And luxury doesn’t like big people.” A painful story to read, but an important testimony. She decided to take control of herself, and believes that Agathe Lecaron saved her life, when she admitted to him that she was addicted to sugar. “It was in the ear of Agathe Lecaron, my friend and boss at Maternelles, that I dropped them off. Symbolically, I wanted her to be the first: after all, she was the one who saved my life“, she wrote.
