In the wake of a successful premiere for Bigdil 2.0, Vincent Lagaf’ responded to Cyril Hanouna who predicted a flop for the show.
Pleasantly surprised by the unexpected success of Bigdil, which celebrated its comeback on television on January 2, 2024 on RMC Story, Vincent Lagaf’ is over the moon today.
It must be said that the show attracted 1.8 million viewers (with a peak of 2 million), or 9.1% audience share, thus establishing a new record for the channel, channel 23 of TNT.
Both moved and happy about this successful reunion with the public, the 65-year-old host spoke in the columns of TV Magazine. He also took the opportunity to slip a small tackle to Cyril Hanouna who had predicted a flop for him.

Lagaf’ ironically responds to Hanouna who predicted a Bigdil flop
Last December 5, on the set of Touche pas à mon poste, the controversial star of C8 had in fact predicted a flop for the show, unlike his columnists, who were more optimistic.
“They (Bigdil) would have to attract 500 or 600,000 viewers…. That seems compromised to me. I think you are completely wrong. No, really, you are completely wrong. Today, it’s the news that’s a hit. They will never make 500, 600,000. I think it will be complicated. (…) Afterwards, I could be wrong, I have often been wrong, but I think it will be hard” (Cyril Hanouna)

Certainly offended by the skepticism of the TPMP presenter, Vincent Lagaf’ addressed him with a little, very ironic, dig.
« I’m going to be ironic. Cyril Hanouna said that he didn’t believe in my return, he said that we would make 500,000. Well he wasn’t wrong, we made 500,000… but the day after tomorrow at 7 p.m. in replay. In the end, we are already at 2.3 million viewers », declared the host, somewhat vengefully.

The hardest part for the show will now be to maintain this course. The host is aware of this and knows the merciless world of television too well to rest on his laurels.
“I no longer have anxiety because I know that, in any case, a premiere has the effect of surprise and, afterwards, the audiences drop a little. But let’s be crazy, let’s imagine that with the noise it made, the word of mouth, people were just as curious. If I manage to match the audience we had for the premiere, I will be the happiest man in the world” (Vincent Lagaf’)
As a reminder, the broadcast of Bigdil will be weekly and will take place every Friday in prime time.
