Mark your calendars: after the Golden Globes which kicked off the prestigious ceremonies at the start of the year on Sunday, here are some important dates to take note of to attend the next awards shows live in 2025.
January
Fin janvier: Critics Choice Awards
Scheduled for Sunday, the 30th edition Critics Choice Awards has been postponed until the end of January. The awards ceremony presented is by the American-Canadian Critics’ Choice Association (CCA) to honor the best achievements in cinema.
January 26: Satellite Awards
Formerly known as the Golden Satellite Awards, the Satellite Awards are given by the International Press Academy (IPA) to recognize American film or television works.
In 2015, Quebec shone during this ceremony where the Quebec films “Mommy” and “Wild” shared five nominations, including that of best actress for the performance of Anne Dorval.
FEBRUARY
February 2: Grammy Awards
Considered one of the most prestigious awards in music, the 67th annual Grammy Awards will be held the first weekend in February.

February 16: BAFTA Film Awards
Since its first ceremony in 1949, this film award presented by the British Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (BAFTA) has highlighted the best British and international contributions to cinema.
February 23: Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards
The SAG Awards are presented annually by the United States Film and Television Actors Union.
Mars
2 mars: Oscars
The Oscars ceremony, also called the “Academy Awards” in English, is considered the most prestigious awards ceremony in the film industry in the world. The 97th edition will be held at the beginning of March.
30 mars: Juno awards
The Juno Awards celebrate Canadian artists who stand out in music each year, thanks to prizes awarded by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS).

May 30: Canadian Screen Awards
The Canadian Screen Awards are presented by the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television to recognize the talents of Canadian artists on the small and big screens, as well as in various digital media.
June
June 8: Tony Awards
Much like the Oscars in cinema, the Tony Awards are renowned awards that aim to recognize excellence in the field of theater – more specifically on Broadway.
This will be the 78th ceremony this year.
November
November 24: Emmy awards
After the Grammy Awards in music, the Oscars in cinema and the Tony Awards in theater, the Emmy Awards complete the quartet of these major awards, this time in the field of television.

To date, only 27 people, including honorary or special awards, have won the four prestigious awards, earning them the designation of EGOT, for Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony.
This November will be the 77th Emmy ceremony.
Quebec ceremonies: dates to come
The dates for the ceremonies Gemini Priceof Gala of the Adisq (also called the Félix Prize Gala) and the Quebec Cinema Gala (for the Iris awards ceremony, formerly Jutra) have not yet been revealed, although they were held respectively in September, October and December 2024.
