HEARING REPORT – The star host is on trial this Thursday in for “habitual violence” against two ex-partners. On the stand, he spoke for the first time, forcefully rejecting these accusations.

Faced with accusations of domestic violence, Stéphane Plaza’s first words on the stand are blunt: “It’s a slander.” In a confident tone, the star host of M6, accused by two former companions of having been physically and psychologically aggressive, claims not to have “never been violent [s]For life, I will never be with anyone. “Humiliation, threats, verbal violence”

Stéphane Plaza faces ten years in prison and a fine of 150,000 euros. The accusations against him were launched in September 2023 with the publication by Mediapart testimonies from these women who denounced “humiliation, threats, verbal and, for two of them, physical violence”. The investigative journal also mentioned “problematic behaviors” on the part of the facilitator in the professional context. The prosecution opened an investigation into domestic violence shortly after, following the receipt of letters from the host’s two ex-partners.

Immediately afterwards, Stéphane Plaza announced that he had filed a complaint against the two women three months earlier for harassment and cyberharassment. This complaint was dismissed on the grounds that the author of the offense is “unknown”announced the court during the hearing this Thursday morning.
