A tragic disappearance. Friday January 3, 2024, the lifeless body of Jeff Baena was found at his homein Los Angeles. It was Aubrey Plaza’s husband’s assistant who was the first to call for help after discovering him inert. Despite their intervention, they could do nothing to bring the screenwriter and director back to life. The forensic doctor affirmed, a few days later, that Jeff Baena ended his life by hanging when he was 47 years old. Faced with such a tragedy, Aubrey Plaza initially preferred to remain silent. His family simply declared to Deadline that she was devastated by the tragic and sudden disappearance of her husband and that she wanted respect for his private life to begin her mourning.
