After a musical foray with a country flavor in the early 90s, followed by a succession of successful roles, both on TV and in cinema, Gildor Roy is preparing to begin a whole new chapter in his prolific career. .
Indeed, while the latter was recently on Mike Ward’s podcast, Listeninghe affirmed that he was currently preparing humorous material, with a view to presenting it as part of a very first solo show. He explains:
« I think I have an hour, solid. There, I did it twice and I have a third time in March. I’m really pissed! »
He specifies in passing that he wrote everything alone. Marie-Lyne Joncas, also present at the recording, seemed well aware of Gildor’s humorous intentions, asking if it was some sort of lecture. The interpreter of Jean Dumas in Dumas then reveals:
« I was asked for a conference, but I don’t do that, conferences. I can give you a show for an hour and a quarter. I talk about the affairs of my life, which everyone does a little bit, at some point. Then, you make things up! Flat ends, you invent them and are less flat! I did this, I really like it! I’m really happy! »
-Since Gildor Roy is among the most popular personalities on the small screen, it goes without saying that such a project already seems destined to be a great success. We can bet that more information will be revealed later, when the project is formalized.
Furthermore, let us note that Gildor Roy is not the only well-known personality to embark on such an avenue. His former colleague from District 31, Michel Charette, had also taken a similar path, but had to cancel the planned performances last fall due to health concerns. More recently, it was Patrice L’Écuyer who surprised more than one by announcing the upcoming arrival of his first solo show. Details here.
In the same interview with Listeningwhen asked if a return of the Km/h series to our screens could be considered, Gildor reveals that he wrote a film script based on the universe of the series two years ago and that he ‘submitted to producers. Could we see the duo of Michel Barrette and Gildor Roy reunited in theaters in the near future?
Finally, let’s remember that the popular actor will resume his role in Dumas at 8 p.m., on ICI Télé. Discover images from the next two episodes in this article.
