Melanie Gonzalez (Large families) spoke out this Monday, December 30, about her health problems. Her new treatment forced her to give up breastfeeding her daughter Calypso.
Since the return of Star Academy last October, Large families: life in XXL is paused. It is therefore on social networks that aficionados of the show follow the news of their favorite tribes. A few months ago, the Gonzalezes welcomed their ninth child, a little girl named Calypso. Mélanie, the mother, had already spoken about the difficulties she encountered with breastfeeding. Despite the pain caused by a small infection, she was determined to continue breastfeeding her daughter. “Only moms who know can understand my determination. Because I want to give him the best my white gold“, she explained. A new health concern however pushed her, despite herself, to stop.

As she had already explained, Mélanie Gonzalez suffers from a heart problem which forces her to take lifelong treatment. She announced this Monday, December 30, that she would have to undergo a new health examination. “Don’t worry, everything is fine! I’m doing tests following my malformation that I have in my aorta artery and following my extrasystoles. They are still there. Even under treatment, I still have them. So the next step will be the MRI in January and then we will see what happens next.” she reassured her subscribers. If Mélanie Gonzalez puts on a good show, she nevertheless stressed that her illness impacts her daily life, but especially the breastfeeding of her little Calypso. She had to stop it because of a new treatment.

Franck’s wife confided to her subscribers that stopping her breastfeeding had made her feel guilty. “As luck would have it, Calypso got sick just as I started to stop breastfeeding”she explained. However, she assured that the weaning of the little girl was going very well. “Calypso is really an adorable baby. She’s so cute, she doesn’t say anything”she rejoiced. Despite everything, Mélanie Gonzalez had a bad time during this period to the point of moving away from the networks a little. “Emotionally, it was quite complicated and on top of that, it’s a last baby, last breastfeeding, but hey I would have been lucky to have breastfed all the children”she put it into perspective.
