Just crowned Miss France 2025, Angélique Angarni-Filopon is already the target of questions about her participation in international competitions. If the national election has for several years raised the age limit for registration, this is not the case for one of them.
Angélique Angarni-Filopon has been on all fronts in recent days. Since her election at Futuroscope in Poitiers on December 14, the one who succeeded Eve Gilles has been doing interviews and photo shoots. A media marathon allowing the new Miss France to introduce herself but also to answer all the questions the French are asking. One of them comes up often: that of his age. “People are constantly reminded of my age and I believe I am well preserved,” the beauty queen told us.
In addition to being the very first Miss Martinique elected, Angélique Angarni-Filopon is also the oldest Miss to win the crown. Just like the other candidates, she benefited from the expansion of the new competition rules. For two years, there has been no age limit preventing young women from running (compared to 24 years previously). A relaxation of beauty criteria giving the 34-year-old Martinican the opportunity to win the national title. However, to aim even higher, she has no choice but to confront the old regulations.

Which competition will Miss France 2025 be able to participate in?
After their coronation year, all the Misses have the same dream, to represent France internationally. In parallel with the national elections, two competitions allow the various countries to meet: Miss World and Miss Universe. If the adventure has only just begun for Angélique Angarni-Filopon, the oldest of the competition already has in mind that she will not be able to take part in one of them.

If Miss Universe has no age limit, this is not the case for Miss World. In the global regulations, it is specified that participants must be between 18 and 27 years old. A scale which therefore excludes Angélique Angarni-Filopon. One of the runners-up could therefore certainly be registered in his place, notably Sabah Aïb, who came in second place. “If the Miss France company asks me, with Angélique’s agreement of course, I will gladly go,” she told us.
On the other hand, Miss France 2025 will be able to try her luck in the international Miss Universe competition. A challenge that she is already determined to take on, as she told Paris Match: “I am ready, more than ever. See you in 2026.” A beauty competition that has always been close to the young woman’s heart, as she explained on the set of TPMP this December 17: “Miss Universe was my goal. There is no limit. I would really like to do this competition.”
