The vestibule immediately sets the tone. That of a chic, orderly apartment, but oh so livelyin which resonate the cries and laughter of two young children, Joseph and Valentine, whose two small chairs, one blue and one pink, are carefully arranged at the entrance. This is where Ophélie Meunier, her husband, lives Matthew Vergne and their children, in this superb Haussmannian apartment in the 17th arrondissement of . They have made it a real family cocoon, a place where the charm of the old combines with very functional modernity as well as our colleagues from Paris Matchwho had the chance to visit it last March, were able to see this.

As soon as you cross the threshold, the chic atmosphere is palpable. The original moldings, perfectly preserved, interact with the noble wooden doors and their gilded handles, so characteristic of the Haussmann style. Herringbone parquet flooring, carefully maintainedadds to the warmth of the space. Through the half-open front door, we can see the staircase of the building, whose common areas seem perfectly maintained. No wonder, we are in a building in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. A district close to the famous golden triangle which surrounds the Champs-Élysées and the famous 16th arrondissement where so many stars have taken up residence – notably in the famous villa, and which remains a bourgeois district of the capital.

Ophélie Meunier and Mathieu Vergne live in a very bright bourgeois apartment

Bourgeois, but full of life, as evidenced by these two little chairs with the children's first names where there is also a small backpack from which the head of a cuddly toy emerges, reminding us that this entrance is much more than a simple passage. Joseph, 5 years old, and Valentine, 3 years old, the two dear blond heads, and it's not just an expression as their hair is light, have fully taken over the place. They are the fruit of his love affair with the TV producer Mathieu Vergne, to whom we owe in particular the return of la Star Academywhom she married in 2018 during a wedding which was followed by an unforgettable evening above the Arcachon basin.

The balance bike hanging against a living room window next to a wooden toy also attests to the presence of children. The living room, bathed in light, is both chic and friendly. Delicate moldings on the ceiling or in the door framesand always the same parquet which brings a warm touch complemented by a burnt orange velvet sofaimposing and welcoming, on which again seem to be lying a few children's toys. A few cushions with geometric patterns and sharp colors energize the entire room, while careful decoration – flower vases, mirrors and personal objects – completes the picture.

The day of the visit Paris MatchOphélie only posed with her children. But two others live in this house. Those of Mathieu, born from a first union. “Had I planned to marry someone who already has two children?, Ophélie asks our colleagues. No ! Then I welcomed these two boys into my home and they teach me lots of things! says the journalist. Unforeseen events make you grow. It's great, we have four siblings, it's rare these days. For us, it ranges from 1.5 years to 15 years, ages which have different needs and rhythms. Everyone adapts, everyone puts their own effort into it, otherwise it wouldn't work.»

Ophélie and her husband get help with household chores

Even if “everyone puts their own into it», during this same interview, the hyperactive mother who admits to working six days a week – and who would have liked to do a job other than her own – nevertheless recognizes that she and her husband get help with daily household chores… This no doubt explaining the almost incongruous order that reigns in the kitchen…

The space, which seems open and in the center of which sits a large central island, is painted in a dark green which contrasts elegantly with the white marble which adorns the worktops and the splashback. Open shelves in natural wood have been attached to the walls on which the crockery and especially the glasses are very carefully aligned. On the other side of a sober stainless steel hood, cookbooks sit alongside condiments, a set of ready-to-use knives is placed against the wall, behind a coffee machine demonstrating a functional space where the family meets…when mom and dad are not working.

«I devote the quality time necessary to my children so that they feel my presence. I have no doubt that they know that I love them to death. It's a balance that depends on a few things, I try to be rigorous day by day in the time I reserve for the children, for work, for my husband, for my friends… and for myself!», revealed in this same interview to our colleagues Ophélie, who in fact takes time for herself every weekend and without feeling guilty.

She's well worth it… A first commercial, for a breakfast drink, filmed when she was only 4 years old, a first TV appearance, at the same age, on Jacques Martin's show Fan Schoolthen later a scientific baccalaureate obtained with a very good honor… From her height of 1.76 meters, the beautiful Ophélie, who began her career as a model for the Metropolitan agency, seems able to dominate any situation. Her house is in her image: both simple and refined. A real advertisement for family happiness…
