Last night TF1 broadcast the Koh-Lanta finale. In the final straight we found Ilyesse, Thibault et Charlotte. And this is the one that won the test of the posts, after 2h30 of testing, against the Corsican candidate who finished second and Ilyesse who fell first after 2h20 of work. And against all expectations, after her victory, Charlotte decided to face Thibault in the final, taking away any chance for Ilyesse to win the adventure. “It was difficult to choose among the yellows so I said I would take the second one on the posts.” she confided to our colleagues at Télé Star.
Charlotte explains her choice for the Koh-Lanta final: “I was very angry with Ilyesse regarding the orientation”
And added: “In truth, I didn't get too wet either because I really blamed Ilyesse for the orientation. He disappointed me so much even though we had a common background. It would have driven me crazy to think that I was giving him that extra when I didn't like his behavior.”. Indeed, during the orienteering race, the engineering student did not appreciate finding himself in the same research area as the adventurer and had made scathing remarks to her so that she would keep her distance.
“When I chose Thibault I wanted him to be a winner”
By facing Thibault in the final, Charlotte believes she did not choose the easy way “JI knew that by taking Ilyesse I would have had three times the chance of having 100,000 euros… Everyone told me… Despite everything, Thibault had merit and a life to build for his girls”. Charlotte accepts her choice while knowing that she would not win.We knew who would win…and he won. It wasn't too much of a surprise. When I chose Thibault I wanted him to be a winner. I knew 90% of the tribe wanted it too. It was a logical continuation.”.
“As I won the posts, for me I won the adventure…”
And to conclude “That's what made the difference, for me it wasn't the money that mattered. As I won the poles, for me I won the adventure but no… I would have liked to have had this label all the same”. Charlotte did not fail throughout the adventure. If the young woman had not managed to shine during the team phase, she largely revealed herself after reunification! With no less than 5 individual victories including the terrible “lazy people” event and by winning the queen of the posts event, here is one who can be proud of her journey.
