Scott L. Schwartz here in 2013 played Bruiser in the “Ocean’s” saga.
CINEMA – If his name may not mean anything to you, his face is probably familiar to you if you are a fan of action comedies. Scott L. Schwartz, former wrestling star turned comedian, died on November 26. He had played “Bruiser” in the three parts of the heist saga Ocean’s by Steven Soderbergh with George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon.
The leader of the band, George Clooney, the interpreter of Danny Ocean, paid tribute to him in a short press release published by our colleagues at Variety. « I am very saddened by the news of Scott's death. We made three films together, and no one had ever beaten me up so delicately. He was a deeply kind person, and he will be greatly missed.. »
In 2001, Scott L. Schwartz played the role of the brutal Bruiser in Ocean’s Elevena thug hired by Danny Ocean to beat him up and offer him an alibi during the casino heist of his rival Terry Benedict (Andy Garcia). A role that he had taken up in Ocean’s Twelve in 2004 and in Ocean’s 13 in 2007.

Before becoming an actor, Scott L. Schwartz had a long career as a wrestler which began in 1979. In the ring, he had several names: Giant David and Joshua Ben-Gurion “The Israeli Commando.” » He then turned to action cinema in the early 90s.
In addition to the Steven Soderbergh saga, Scott L. Schwartz has also played small roles in many films and series: Starsky et Hutch, Le Roi Scorpion, Los in the Woods, Star Trek Enterprise, Castle, Angel etc. Scott L. Schwartz died on November 26 at the age of 65 after cardiac arrest.
