“Make your mom listen to a song that talks about her”. This is the story that Vianney just shared, this December 2, 2024, on Instagram. Inside, we hear some lyrics from his new song, on which he invited rapper Gazo for a featuring.
And discovering the text: “Mom, you had people to feedyou have not counted your time, nor the days to offer”, Vianney and her mother fell into each other's arms.
Vianney wrote a song for her mother
A video that the singer of “NOW” wanted to shorten it, rightly so. He joked to his fans this Monday: “You didn’t believe I was going to show you the moment where we cry in each other’s arms and say very personal things to each other.” And added: “It's not the type of house to show you these details. And that's not my mom's type at all. In short, I’ll keep that for us.”
What he was, however, keen to detail was his collaboration with Gazo, who comes from a universe completely different from his own. And yet, with this young artist, Vianney shares a lot, as he explains.
He remembers that idea of this featuring was born in February 2024. On the evening of the Victoires de la Musique, Vianney and Gazo both left with the trophy for artist of the year. That evening, they spent a little time together, at the photocall, then backstage.
Vianney remembers their immediate complicity. He details: “we play smart with our trophies”, and “we look at each other at one point and say to ourselves 'man it's still crazy'“.
They who shared a Victory discovered that they had “in common to love doing duets“, he said. And added: “I tell him 'my guy, we shared a Victoire de la Musique, come on, let’s share a song‘”.
On his collaboration with Gazo
Vianney says that Gazo immediately “hot summer“. He showed up in the studio, sometimes even with his entourage. And if it was rock'n'roll, Vianney keeps a precious memory of creation.
For his part, he says that he worked on the dark sounds of his guitar with the pedal, while his sidekick wrote his text. When putting everything together, Vianney noticed: “he was good and efficient. He played his part and recorded his baccalaureates. Afterwards, I geeked out like crazy on the sound”.
